Kuota KHAN
Built on Racing Heritage.
The Khan has long occupied a special place within our range. Originally developed as a lightweight performance road bike for professional competition, the Khan established its reputation on some of cycling's biggest stages, ridden by teams including Agritubel, Lotto, and Cofidis in elite international competition, including the Tour de France.
For 2026, the Khan retains the balanced geometry and responsive ride characteristics that made the original frame a favourite amongst climbers and all-round racers, whilst benefiting from our latest engineering, aerodynamic, and manufacturing technologies. Whilst remaining true to the principles and heritage that originally defined the Khan, low weight, responsive handling, and efficient power transfer, the latest generation frame has also been developed with a greater focus on aerodynamic efficiency to meet the demands of modern road racing.
Constructed from a blend of premium Japanese Toray T800 and T1000 carbon fibres, the Khan is manufactured using a true one-piece monocoque moulding process. This advanced production method allows precise control of fibre orientation and carbon lay-up throughout the frame, resulting in an optimised balance of stiffness, durability, weight, and ride quality.
Advances in tube profiling, frame integration, and cable routing have improved aerodynamic efficiency without compromising the balanced handling, responsiveness, and climbing characteristics that have defined the Khan throughout its history. The result is a frameset that performs efficiently across a wide range of terrain, from long mountain ascents to fast rolling roads and competitive road races.
For 2026, the frame incorporates an FSA ACR integrated headset system, allowing brake hoses and electronic wiring to be routed internally from the cockpit through the frame. This modern integration not only enhances the clean appearance of the bicycle but also contributes to aerodynamic performance whilst protecting cables and hoses from the elements.
At the heart of the frame is a T47 threaded bottom bracket standard. Combining the benefits of a large-diameter bottom bracket shell with the reliability and serviceability of a threaded interface, the system provides excellent bearing support, efficient power transfer, and long-term durability.
The Khan remains one of the lightest performance road frames in the Kuota range. The combination of advanced carbon fibre construction, proven race geometry, modern aerodynamic development, and contemporary integration standards creates a highly capable road racing frameset suited to both competitive cyclists and performance-focused enthusiasts.
Fully compliant with current UCI regulations, the Khan continues Kuota’s long-standing commitment to producing bicycles developed through racing and engineered for performance.
OPM - One-Piece Moulding Construction
At Kuota, we believe that true one-piece monocoque construction represents the pinnacle of carbon fibre frame manufacturing. Whilst many manufacturers reference monocoque or one-piece construction, a significant number of carbon frames continue to rely on bonded sub-assemblies or secondary joining processes during production. The vast majority of Kuota frames are manufactured using true one-piece moulding technology, where the front and rear triangles are formed as a single continuous structure within one mould. This advanced manufacturing process allows continuous carbon fibre to extend from the head tube through to the seat stays and chain stays, eliminating many of the junctions and bonding interfaces commonly found in traditional frame construction.
The result is a frame that delivers exceptional torsional stiffness, efficient power transfer, reduced weight, and outstanding structural integrity. By minimising potential stress concentrations and maintaining uninterrupted fibre continuity throughout the structure, Kuota's one-piece moulding technology helps optimise both performance and long-term durability.Today, Kuota applies this advanced manufacturing approach across one of the most comprehensive ranges of true one-piece moulded carbon frames in the cycling industry, spanning road, endurance, gravel, and mountain bike platforms. This commitment ensures that riders across every discipline can benefit from the performance, efficiency, and durability advantages of true one-piece carbon construction.
FSA - FSA ACR Internal Cable Routing
Our road frames are equipped with the FSA ACR (Aerodynamic Cable Routing) system, developed by FSA and VISION to provide complete cable integration without compromising performance or serviceability. By routing cables and hoses cleanly through the cockpit, headset, and frame, the ACR system delivers a sleek, modern appearance whilst helping to reduce aerodynamic drag.Combining FSA's expertise in headset technology, cockpit integration, and aerodynamic engineering, the ACR system creates a clean and refined front-end design that enhances both aesthetics and functionality. The result is a fully integrated solution that contributes to improved airflow, reduced cable exposure, and a premium, professional finish.
Bottom Bracket Standard
Our road, endurance, and gravel frames utilise the T47 bottom bracket standard, widely regarded as one of the most advanced and reliable bottom bracket systems available for modern performance bicycles. By combining the benefits of a threaded interface with the large shell diameter of a press-fit design, T47 delivers exceptional stiffness, durability, and ease of maintenance. The threaded construction helps minimise the creaking and tolerance issues, whilst providing excellent bearing support and compatibility with a wide range of cranksets. The result is efficient power transfer, long-term reliability, and straightforward servicing, making T47 a popular choice for premium carbon fibre frames. The Kuota mountain bike frame utilises a press-fit bottom bracket design. This approach allows greater freedom in frame engineering, enabling the large tube profiles and optimised carbon fibre lay-up required to achieve the stiffness, strength, and weight characteristics demanded by modern mountain bike riding. Both systems have been selected to suit the specific performance requirements of their respective frame designs.
Compliance
The Kuota K-A1, Khan, K-uno and KT08 TT frames are fully UCI approved and officially registered within the UCI's database of approved frames. This certification confirms compliance with the organisation's technical standards and allows these models to be raced in all UCI-sanctioned events worldwide. In addition to UCI approval, all Kuota frames are designed, tested, and manufactured in accordance with applicable ISO and EN bicycle safety standards. These internationally recognised standards assess critical areas of frame performance including structural strength, fatigue resistance, impact durability, and long-term reliability under real-world riding conditions.Compliance with both UCI technical regulations and recognised ISO/EN testing protocols provides riders with confidence that every Kuota frame has been developed to meet demanding requirements for safety, performance, and durability. From professional competition through to everyday training and recreational riding, Kuota frames are engineered to deliver the structural integrity and ride quality expected from a premium carbon fibre platform.
Lifetime Warranty
For decades, Kuota bicycles have been associated with performance, innovation, and durability. The current Kuota organisation continues that tradition, combining modern engineering and advanced manufacturing technologies to produce bicycles designed to perform at the highest level.
To reinforce our commitment to quality and rider confidence, Kuota provides a lifetime warranty on framesets and forks purchased from 1 January 2026 onwards to the original purchaser, alongside a two-year warranty on wheels and handlebars. This warranty applies exclusively to products supplied by the current Kuota organisation and reflects the confidence we place in every bicycle we manufacture.Terms and conditions apply.
TB – Titanium Bolts
We incorporate a significant number of titanium bolts in our road frames, crafted from Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). These bolts surpass stainless steel and most high-grade carbon steel bolts in performance, offering exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and lightweight properties.
